About Our Kuro Ramen
Kuro Ramen is built on mayu, a fragrant black garlic oil that is stirred into a rich pork or chicken based broth to deepen the colour and add a toasted, nutty aroma. The result is a bowl with more complexity than a standard shoyu ramen, without losing its comforting, savoury core.
At Kon'ya Japan we simmer the broth low and slow, then finish each bowl with springy ramen noodles, soft egg, scallion and nori. It is a favourite with guests looking for something richer than a classic noodle soup.
